Jennifer Lopez will challenge stereotypes in her new project

In Hollywood, Jennifer Lopez is undoubtedly one of the Rom-Com queens alongside Jennifer Aniston and Sandra Bullock, but despite this being the genre that has brought her the biggest blockbusters of her career, we have not seen her starring in one since 2012, in the ensemble cast movie “What To Expect When You’re Expecting.”

However, the wait is over! The 47-year-old diva from the Bronx looks better than ever while she juggles her time working on various television shows, new music and a Las Vegas concert residence [All Of Me], she is also signed to star and produce “Second Act”, A romantic comedy where she will challenge the typical roles for “older” actresses.

“There are a lot of details I love about this project,” Lopez said. “In Hollywood, executives like to put us women ‘to sleep’ after a certain age. “Second Act” is a story that invites women, regardless of age, to be more, to do more, not to limit your dreams. I’m very excited to create stories to empower women.”

STXfilms, the production company involved in the project, presented it as a mix of the classic 80’s film “Working Girl” with touches of one of Lopez’s hits, “Maid In Manhattan.” The director of “50 First Dates” Peter Segal is already chosen to direct.

Between “Maid In Manhattan,” “The Wedding Planner,” and “Monster In Law,” Jennifer Lopez has had unswerving success with romantic comedies and we are sure that “Second Act” will be no different.

We are waiting! Meanwhile we leave you with the closest thing to “Working Girl” that J Lo has done. Her video for the hit single I Ain’t Your Mama
